Terms and Conditions for Hire Me Kenya Recruitment Platform.

Welcome to Hire Me Kenya, the recruitment platform designed to connect employers and job seekers in Kenya. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Hire Me Kenya platform, including all associated websites, applications, and services (collectively referred to as the “Platform”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms By accessing or using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Terms, including any future amendments. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

2. Definitions

  • “Employee” or “Job Seeker” refers to any individual using the Platform to seek employment.
  • “Employer” refers to any organization, company, or individual using the Platform to post job vacancies or recruit employees.
  • “Services” refers to the features provided on the Platform, including but not limited to job listings, recruitment services, resume submissions, and related functionalities.

3. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform.
  • If you are an Employer, you must have a registered company or organization in Kenya with a legitimate need for recruitment services.
  • If you are an Employee, you must be legally eligible to work in Kenya.

4. Registration

  • Both Employees and Employers are required to create an account to access certain
    features of the Platform.
  • During registration, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and account, and you agree to notify Hire Me Kenya immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.

5. Employer Obligations

  • Employers must ensure that all job postings are lawful, truthful, non-discriminatory, and comply with Kenyan employment laws.
  • Employers must provide accurate information about the job role, company, and other relevant details.
  • Employers are responsible for reviewing and evaluating applications submitted through the Platform and for making decisions regarding employment offers or hiring.

6. Employee Obligations

  • Employees must ensure that the information they provide on the Platform, including resumes and application details, is truthful, accurate, and up to date.
  • Employees are responsible for managing their own job search, including applying for positions and following up with potential employers.

7. Prohibited Uses You agree not to:

  • Post any unlawful, defamatory, offensive, or discriminatory content.
  • Use the Platform for any purpose that violates any local, national, or international law or regulation.
  • Use the Platform to solicit or recruit other users for competing platforms or services.
  • Engage in any fraudulent activity, including impersonating other users or entities.

8. Fees and Payments

  • Hire Me Kenya is a subscription based recruitment platform service, and charges Jobseekers, a small fee, to have their Resumes posted.
  • Fees are non-refundable except as outlined in any applicable refund policy.

9. Privacy and Data Protection

  • By using the Platform, you consent to the collection, use, and sharing of your personal data as described in Hire Me Kenya’s Privacy Policy. All personal data provided will be handled in accordance with the relevant data protection laws of Kenya.

10. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

  • Hire Me Kenya does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of job postings or the hiring decisions made by Employers.
  • The Platform acts solely as an intermediary between Employees and Employers and does not guarantee employment or recruitment outcomes.
  • Hire Me Kenya will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of the Platform.

11. Termination of Access

  • Hire Me Kenya reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at its sole discretion if you breach these Terms or engage in illegal or disruptive activities.
  • Either Employees or Employers may terminate their account by notifying Hire Me Kenya through the appropriate channels. Any outstanding fees must be settled prior to account termination.

12. Modifications to Terms

  • Hire Me Kenya may update or modify these Terms at any time. You will be notified of any significant changes, and your continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.

13. Governing Law These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Kenya.
